Believe it or not, January is one of my favourite months of the year as it brings with it exciting new energy, projects, ideas…and, of course, a fresh Bobby Pin collection of super gorgeous bridal accessories in the making!
Not to mention a sea of new engagements (oh hey, newbies with the dazzling sparklers!) and an awesome tribe of fresh brideys who will be taking to the aisle over the next 12 months (2022 gals…your year has arrived!).
First up, a very quick introduction from me, Lisa - founder of The Bobby Pin and lover of all things sparkle - for those of you who are new around here. Then I’ll be sharing details of our exclusive Wedding Edit for 2022 and revealing how to get your pretty little hands on a downloadable copy of it.
A FASHION BRIDAL FUSION
I couldn’t be more proud of the business that I’ve built in The Bobby Pin as I’ve kept it truly authentic since day dot, and in doing so it has appealed to so many fabulous brides who crave something that bit extra for their big day.
The Bobby Pin was born out of a love of fashion and accessories, but most importantly, my ability to spot trends before they’ve fully emerged. And so, entering the world of weddings, my aim was to get ahead of the curve, delivering something new and exciting to style-conscious brides before the rest of the industry had even started to catch on.
After a successful career in fashion buying, focusing on sourcing and product development (my absolute passion!) and with a millinery qualification under my belt, I turned my obsession with accessories into a full-time business by launching The Bobby Pin in 2016.
I’d noticed influences from mainstream fashion were filtering through to the wedding dress industry but didn’t appear to be reflected in big day accessories, which is what led me to dedicate The Bobby Pin to the bridal accessories market. I wanted to give brides more choice to express their individual style and break free of the traditional bridal mould without compromising on quality.
And so, I combined my trend-spotting talents with my addiction of sourcing and product development to bring fresh, on-style yet affordable wedding accessory options to modern brides with a shared love of fashion and sparkle.
Fast-forward five years and the drive, passion and values behind The Bobby Pin remain exactly the same. Keeping a finger firmly on the wedding fashion pulse, our on-point collections are continuously updated and adapted to reflect current fashion trends and help shape leading big day looks.
