Fresh from attending London Bridal Week, I’m excited to share details of some of the hottest wedding looks of the year and, more specifically, the top bridal accessory trends for 2023.

The leading bridal accessory looks meanwhile beautifully complemented such trends whilst encouraging fashion-forward brides to reflect their own unique style, as we’re about to discover.
So, prepare to take note as I spotlight the key bridal accessory looks for 2023 with fitting finishing touch suggestions from my 2023 Bobby Pin Collection.
Top Bridal Accessory Trends For 2023
- Ethereal Romance
Tying in with those bloom-adorned dresses that dominated the catwalk, ethereal romance forms one of the top accessory looks for the coming year. Think enchanting hair vines with metallic floral and fauna flourishes or magical bridal hair combs and pins featuring delicate white clay flowers. This look lends itself particularly well to those planning outdoor garden nuptials or elegant marquee celebrations, giving a stylish nod to the nature-filled surroundings.
- Metallic Bridal Headpieces
Chic metallic bridal accessories are on the up, providing a dream finishing touch solution for cool, contemporary brides. Often pared-back in their appearance, such pieces are all about offering simple, modern accessory alternatives that will complement and enhance a bride’s style without stealing the limelight. Enticing examples include dainty metallic headbands with subtle adornments, high-shine mini hair combs and glistening jewel-embellished hair pin sets. These simpler, easy-to-wear pieces also work well as stylish bridesmaid accessories, should the bride want to go for more impactful pieces herself.
- Angelic Influences
A heavenly new addition to the bridal accessories scene and a perfect look for those wanting to project feminine, spirited and effortlessly romantic bridal vibes. In particular, angel influences appear in the form of double hair combs designed to sit symmetrically at the back of the head, creating the appearance of delicate cherub-like wings. Designs vary from intricately detailed pieces peppered with pearls and crystals to more pared-back creations adorned with simple clay flowers. Either look out for bridal combs that come as a matching set or double up on a design to master this angelic style.
- Statement Bridal Earrings
In terms of wedding jewellery, striking bridal earrings continue to grow in popularity and provide an easy way for brides to inject their personal style into their big-day attire. From intricately detailed chandeliers and dazzling drops to botanical-adorned hoops, there are numerous designs for the taking. I love to see brides wearing a dainty set of earrings for the ceremony and then a bolder pair in the evening, allowing them to switch up their look and enhance that evening party energy. Statement earrings are also proving a top choice amongst brides opting for an up-do hairstyle, allowing lock-free space for them to be fully shown off!
- Wedding Headbands & Crowns
Swoon-worthy headbands and crowns are without question among the current must-have bridal accessories….and not just for the wedding day. Fashion-loving brides-to-be are snapping them up for other key moments in the ‘I do’ spotlight, too, including hen dos and honeymoons. On-point padded headbands embellished with sparkling crystals, chic pearls or shimmering sequins are top choices for such occasions. Meanwhile, for the big day itself, highly-desirable options include modern takes on the traditional wedding tiara. So, we’re talking delicate floral and pretty pearl designs through to head-turning headpieces adorned with impactful porcelain blooms. This one’s certainly a winning look for those wanting to emit whimsical goddess or contemporary princess style vibes.
Other big-day finishing touches spotted at London Bridal Week included magical, flowing capes, which provide a beautiful bridal cover-up whilst adding impact and drama, particularly those with long trains. Likewise, pretty, oversized hair bows delivered on the head-turning-accessories-front with some trailing all the way to the floor. Finally, theatrical bridal gloves were big news; some were delicate, sheer and elegant in barely-there tulle, and others were made from more striking fabrics or finished with flirty ruffles.
